Chinese New Year

Room 18 have enjoyed learning about The Chinese New Year. Today we attended a Lion Dance in the hall and made Chinese Lanterns. Thank you to Cassie, Caprice, Kiera and Bella who wore their Chinese costumes to school. Some of Room 18 will attend the Lantern Festival at The Auckland Domain this weekend.

  1. Wasn't it great! I learnt all sorts of things. It certainly takes a lot of training and practice to become an expert dragon dance performer.

  4. Hi Room 18. Your lanterns look marvellous. I like the headline on this newspaper article with the reference to "trot" being the year of the Pig! Did it make you smile?
