The First Men on the Moon by Caprice

The First Men on the Moon

The first astronauts to walk on the moon were Neil Armstrong and Buzz Aldrin.
Michael Collins stayed in the spaceship waiting for them.

The Moon
The moon is made out of a dry ball of rock. It is not made out of cheese.

Movement
The moon spins 27 times as it orbits the earth once every 27 days.

Atmosphere

The moon is very hot when the sun’s heat reflects on it. The moon is an important place
to learn about.

Chinese New Year

Room 18 have enjoyed learning about The Chinese New Year. Today we attended a Lion Dance in the hall and made Chinese Lanterns. Thank you to Cassie, Caprice, Kiera and Bella who wore their Chinese costumes to school. Some of Room 18 will attend the Lantern Festival at The Auckland Domain this weekend.
