Census 2019 in Rm 23: Here we are measuring ourselves in a variety of ways.

On Monday afternoon we went to Mrs Madden's Maths Room to complete some measuring activities:
  • Our height
  • The circumference of our wrist
  • The length of our right foot
  • The circumference of our left thumb
  • School bag weight
  • How long we could balance on our left foot with our eyes closed

  1. Ka pai Room 18. Who was the tallest? Who had the heaviest bag? Could someone come and weigh my handbag/workbag? I think it might be about 4kgs! I think my wrists are quite small compared to other ladies. What was the average size wrist in your class? I look forward to your reply

  4. What a great way to learn Room 18. I bet you i would win the heaviest bag award. What a fun way to do your maths. Did you measure who had the biggest smile? I bet that would be Mrs Morris.

  6. Sounds like you are finding new interesting ways to learn. I see Spencer was the smallest but I bet he has a really big heart. I wonder if the size of someone's heart can me measured?

    1. Yes, Spencer's heart is very nice and kind. But we're not really sure how to measure someone's heart?

  7. How much fun is maths with Mrs Madden. Do I recall correctly that the circumference of both wrists put together is the same circumference as your neck???
